There is plenty of crocheting being done here…. and I’m working hard on fun new projects.
Many of those projects, I can’t show you yet. But some I can show, and I will do so between now and next week, so come back regularly!!!!
One project which I did finish a while ago, but haven’t shown yet, even though it has already been worn a lot, is the cardigan I crocheted for DD. Nice and oversized, simple and with cheerful stripes.
An easy project for those who like gutsy projects!
I made this cardigan without a pattern, based on one of her larger sweaters.
Use a sweater to get the correct dimensions and proportions.
Compare your work to the sweater regularly, to see if you’re still on the right track.
Make
1 x back piece: this is a rectangle which falls over the shoulders. You can adjust the length.
Make 2 x front pieces: Decrease 6 sts from the inside edge to the shoulders.
Make 2 x sleeves: these are 2 rectangles.
Stitches
All pieces are worked with dc’s.
Finishing
Close the seams (using byClaire No 2) and weave in the ends.
The front pieces need 2 rows of sc’s for a decorative edge.
Ad a decorative edge of 1 row of sc’s to the sleeves as well. This gives the sleeves a nice balloon shape.
Material
byClaire No 2 – Crochet hook 7mm
Colours: Ivory 326, Marine 321, Mint 2137, 2231, Ocean Blue 296, Salmon 212, Lime 351, Sky Blue 2123, Jade 2140, Olive 2149
*I made this cardigan with ‘leftovers’*
Now I need to find the time to make one for myself….. (in between all those other projects, haha..)
