A while ago, I did a workshop at ‘De Sampler’ in Haarlem (a lovely shop with the most beautiful quilt fabrics and byClaire yarns).
One of the ladies had brought a whole mountain of ‘hexes’, in all the colours of the byClaire no. 2 yarn. A magnificent mountain of colours!
She asked me for advice on how to assemble them, as she had no idea how to. The things she’d tried didn’t look quite right.
So we spent some time pouring over them – me with great enthusiasm, her slightly less so –
she gave me the crocheted mountain as a gift to take home at the end of the night!!
Now I can make it into a beautiful blanket, which is awesome!
I went home with a bag full of patches, happy as a child!
I was way to busy the past few weeks to sit down to see how I could assemble the patches. I’m now looking at it from all angles… I have plenty of options.
And one thing’s for sure – it will be a colourful patchwork blanket.
